They've landed! They are back in Texas...5 hours away...but back in Texas! They will have their final flight home in just a bit. The kids are all smiles (and I'm sure the adults are too...evident even through the jet lag).

love you all and can't wait to see you and love on you guys!

Day 10: Come'n Home

9am This morning(5pm there) they made it through customs and said it felt
awesome to "be on their way."

9:30am (5:30pm)The kids are bouncing off the walls with excitement while waiting to
board the plane and Seare keeps asking "How much longer? Is it time yet?"

10:30am (6:30pm) Text read, "The Hagler family is about to bard the first leg of our
journey home from Ethiopia."

10:40am (6:40pm) My mom and I are at the botanical gardens with the kids and begin
to pull out the tissues when we received the text reading "Every time I hear
the words "mom" and "dad" I can't help but tear up. God has blessed us so
much."

4pm (1am) They safely landed in Dubai (now 9 hours ahead). Everyone is good.
Netsanet got a little airsick, but she got to feeling better.

They will begin their 16 hour flight home and we'll finally get to experience real instead of virtual hugs tomorrow evening!

Day 9: Thursday...

6:30pm their time:
Passports and Visas in hand! AMERICA!

The kids are excited for their journey. How much they have been prayed for...How much they have been thought about...How long they have been waited for... is and will be evident in the love they have and will receive. Your prayers "have reached heaven." Thank you to all of you, whom we know and whom we do not know, who have prayed and will continue praying...
Until the next post...
blessings and peace to you...
and may His love be evident through you...

Day 8 Again: Closer to Coming Home...

Got a text at 3:30 this morning asking what i wanted from the market! They seem to be having an "awesome" time together and said they are ready to be heading back home. Tomorrow, Thursday, they should receive Netsanet's and Seara's visas and passports! Will post pictures and video after they get home. They haven't been able to get service to send them.

Talked with Blake today and he sounded thrilled about his shopping day in the market :0) He said in the very least he was able to help support the local economy.

blessings and peace...

Day 8: Waking Up On Wednesday...

They texted when they woke up this morning and were ready to start their day together! The kids seem great. Sahara woke up with a big smile on his face. I can see it now! Mimi said that they are communicating OK with each other and she thinks it won't be long until they are able to speak English pretty well.

OK...so Amharic is a written language of symbols, so many times when words are written in English, they are spelled many different ways depending on who spells it. Sometimes the cities are spelled different ways on different maps, so you just never really know. Sahara is spelled Seara: just in case someone out there is embroidering a pillow or something :0)...

They said they had amazing pictures and video, but haven't been able to send it through...so it may be after they get home that it's posted.

"....grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen." 2Peter 3:18
