Day 7: It's Official!

Text today at 3:30 their time read they were on their way, with the kids, to the embassy. Last in a long line of things to do so the kids can get their passports and visas by this Thursday for the trip to their Hagler home in Texas! It's official! The Hagler Family of Four! Netsanet and Sahara are with them from now on!

Talked with Blake about 7pm their time and he said that the remainder of their time there is sort of "unplanned." They will probably go shopping for the kids tomorrow! I am praying that Blake will get to see some construction sites/mission projects going on over there. He is getting to spend time with Alemayu, the "construction coordinator" for mission projects through ADERA in Ethiopia, and a wonderful and godly man. He had gone to lunch today with Alemayu at a restaurant overlooking Addis and had a good time and a good visit and was now hanging out with Roger, Mimi, Netsanet and Sahara. Wow!

They were talking about the 7 families adopting children and that 2 of the families were unable to complete their adoption after meeting their children due to mistakes in paper work from the agency? or embassy? i wasn't clear on the details of the problem, but definitely clear that there are 2 families that traveled across ocean and land to pick up their children and are being sent home without them. They will have to go through more of the "process" and return at a later date pick up the kids. They asked that everyone back home please pray for these families, that it is just gut wrenching for them to not be able to bring their children home with them as planned. I know we have some prayer warriors reading this and covering all this and more in prayer. So thank you in advance for your faithfulness!
